Our strategy has been perfected over time, but generally, and as with everything we do, first we develop a strategic plan. We work directly with the business owners’ key stakeholders and advisors to define the best possible exit strategy. Once engaged, we provide exit strategy consultation by assembling all necessary documents needed for a valuation, consult with filling in gaps that may exist in the business structure or financials, and conduct a market valuation.
We generally work with our clients for 3-4 weeks before we go to market. This helps us ensure that the marketing materials to be presented to potential buyers are as accurate as possible and presented in a highly professional manner. We have found that this upfront work helps us maintain consistency throughout the sales process and has been well accepted by our clientele. An important part of our process is a detailed exploration of our clients’ financial statements, which helps determine profitability and whether there is a need for client financials to be normalized to position the Company in the best possible light.
Once the market valuation has been produced, we then create the pitch book, assemble, and build the buyer/ potential acquisition candidate list, and begin the Indication of Interest and ultimately the selection/ bidding and Letter of Intent period. We then orchestrate the due diligence process between selected buyer and seller and manage all aspects of the transaction to ultimately a successful close and transition.
If commercial real estate is included in the sale, our subsidiary company Griffin Partners, an affiliate of the national commercial real estate company Sperry Commercial Global, gives us a unique advantage from any of our competitors. We achieve sale/leasebacks, negotiate corporate leases, and create market valuations for our clients as part of the M&A deal every day. Also, through Griffin Partners affiliation with Sperry Commercial Global, we have the capability to tap into our sixty-plus affiliate offices, allowing us to service businesses anywhere in the US with additional support.
Buy Side Services can come in a number of forms. We can help clients scale their horizontal footprint, consolidate and/or expand their categories and/or product lines. As an experienced team of experts fully entrenched in the industry, we offer a compelling, independent perspective to our clients helping them on their scale strategies. As a buy side advisor, we can identify marketplace trends, acquisition opportunities and assist in bringing to close potential transactions or transactions that are underway. Our experts tailor their approach to the buy side of a transaction specific to each client’s needs.
